This is a very easy fix for your bad or dimming Single Button F150 Two Door or Sunroof Computer Board with great results, review my write up below to help you decide if the instructions will help you save the expense of a new board.

Ford had quality problems with about five out of ten single button boards in the early years 1999 to 2003 going dead, it is a common and a very easy to fix problem. My detailed instructions with pictures show you how to remove the console cover plate, remove the screws holding the board in place and how to find and fix the problem with close up  inlarged pictures. Repair work can be done with one cheap simple $8.00 Radio Shack tool, 98% of the time no parts are needed but I do include a couple parts if by chance your board falls into that 2% of boards needing the problem parts. One way to help you decide if these instructions will help with your repair is to check it for the following, if your board is completely DEAD or comes ON and OFF sometimes  with a tap or bump, if the board goes DIM  and then gets BRIGHT or stays DIM  this IS most likely the easy to fix problem 99.8% of the time. 

If the board lights up and works but some screens display and some do not, or the readings on the screen are not reading correct it is more than likely NOT the easy fix problem. The boards from Ford cost $200.00 and most used boards have or will developed this same problem.  I have sold many board repair instructions with great results.
