The Kit you choose will attach to your existing roof supports just as the factory intended. MOST IMPORTANT, I WILL SEND YOU THE VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND STEP BY STEP INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS and EASY HOOK UP WIRING INSTRUCTIONS. YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE INSTALL PICTURES AND THE SENSOR MOUNTING LOCATION. PLEASE NOTE: THE OPTIONAL OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE KIT , It is your option if you want to purchase and mount the outside temperature in the grill and hook the VSS wire. The consoles are available in Gray or Tan or Black and are removed from late model Ford F-150 pickups. These consoles feature a digital LCD that will display a compass and a outside temperature reading, there is a compartment for your garage door opener that attaches to Velcro, this feature will give you one touch garage door operation by touching the outside of the overhead console, some consoles also have a compartment for your sunglasses. The outside grill mounted temperature sensor is also available. All my consoles have been refurbished, each console has been inspected and refinished as needed to provide you with a new looking excellent condition and ready to install console. Your refurbished console will be in sent in excellent condition and ready to be installed in your NEW or OLDER truck for a great factory looking install. This kit was designed for the 1997 to 1999 F150 trucks but I want you to understand a few additional changes required for the console to fit the 1997 to 1999 F-150 truck. I am the only person that has the details to install the F150 console on the 1997 to 1999 truck without changing to a 2000 model headliner.( Many people think same body same factory fit NOT TURE for the early F150 ) One way to know if you have the early 1999 headliner is check the sunvisors, if your sunvisors are long and extend close to the center of the truck you have the early model headliner and will need to change the sunvisors to the short 2000 model sunvisors. With my special instructions and trick materials included in the kit you will not have to change to a newer 2000 model headliner, but it does take a little more time to get a good tight headliner fit near the front of the console. It is an easy to install and great looking factory overhead console. It took me a lot of time to understand and experiment with the changes needed in order to have a perfect and correct fit while mounting to the existing early model 1997 -1999 F-150 truck roof support and headliner contour. Without my detailed wiring instructions you will likely short and damage the electronic board. If you purchase this kit you will see all the RISK TAKING work was done for you, I will include a template that you can trace around and mark the exact location on your headliner before you cut the hole needed to install the console, no guessing so get a perfect fit. I will also tell you what to use to make a neat and easy cut into your headliner, no guessing where to mount the base plate, don't worry about the screws protruding into the outside of the cab roof, I will send you the correct size self drilling screws. I TOOK THE RISK FOR YOU TESTING AND COMPILING THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOU TO HAVE A TROUBLE FREE QUICK INSTALL. YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. I will also send you the instructions on how to CALIBRATE THE COMPASS to work in your area, check out the headliner fit along the edge in above pictures of the console install in a 1997, it fits great for not having to replace the headliner. I have sold many consoles with NO install problems from buyers, I will work close with you and answer any questions you have during your install however I do not give any refunds on my console kits.
